Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. Your selected image stays in browser memory and is processed on your device. The browser downloads static AI model files, but it does not send your image to our application server.
Which image formats work?
You can upload JPG/JPEG, PNG, or WebP files up to 20 MB. The image must decode successfully and fit conservative browser memory limits.
What format will I download?
A transparent PNG at the original image dimensions when processing succeeds. The AI estimates the foreground at 512 × 512 pixels, so original output dimensions do not guarantee that every fine edge is preserved.
Why does processing speed vary?
The AI runs on your device. The first use downloads a model of about 192 MB plus runtime files. Browser support, available memory, image size, and caching affect speed; processing can take a few minutes on slower devices.
A precise privacy promise
Your pixels stay on your device.
BG GHOST does not provide an upload endpoint for the core workflow. Static model assets are downloaded when needed; your selected image remains a local browser object and is discarded when you replace it or leave the page.
